Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began with humorous rap tracks dealing with issues related to sexuality and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood after she released a series of raps. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first musical experience. She performed on the trumpet. Jazz, classical and hip-hop training began as she was just a teenager. In her studies, she studied journalism as well as women's studies, and was learning Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. After graduation, she start focusing on music. The song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in 2012. The track was later included in her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. It also contained viral hits such as the body-positive Queef or the winking city tour New York Bitche$. The track that was published is directly linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. She opted to pursue acting careers after having completed her two previous endeavors, author and musician. As well as early shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in the movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored major roles in a variety of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
