Carey, a former top model in fashion who measured at 5'10" she was a favorite of American fashion houses like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father, who was a renowned scientist who received the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists 1979 Scientist of Year award, is a highly respected geologist. Carey has lived across the globe due to his profession. While in college she started modeling part-time and attracted the attention to Ford model Agency representatives in New York.
